This July, Tate Modern is bringing a new exhibition to the art scene focusing on black artists from a dramatic period in American history. ‘Soul Of A Nation: Art In The Age Of Black Power’ captures the civil rights movement, black power, political leaders and black feminism. Inspiration behind the exhibition draws from legendary figures from the 60’s including Martin Luther King, Angela Davis and Martin X.
150 pieces of art, posters, real-life journeys and vibrant murals will be on display for the first launch in the UK, telling the story behind those who changed art in America.
